Targeted management of ideas
The “NEUSIEDLER Improvement Process“ (NIP) was introduced back in 1997
and has shown a very positive development ever since, as demonstrated by the
willingness of all staff to make an active contribution with ideas and suggestions
for improvement. In 2003 the number of proposals submitted reached yet
another record, going up to 1,442.
Another valuable innovation initiative is the “Strategic Innovation Programme“,
which was introduced at NEUSIEDLER in the year under review. This programme
expands the scope of the NIP, making targeted use of the Internet with the
Mondi Innovation Zone (www.mondiinnovation.com) to promote initiatives with
regard to innovation processes and facilitate their implementation. The Mondi
Innovation Zone provides a platform for the exchange of know-how with other
companies of the Mondi Group, its aim being to ensure employee ideas – big
and small – become a reality and thus create added value for the company and
for each individual member of staff.
