A high degree of transparency
NEUSIEDLER is committed to an open and intensive dialogue on sustainability
and a high degree of transparency with due regard for the internationally recognised
guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
Concentration on relevant themes and issues
Following the GRI recommendation to weight information as to its significance
for the reader, the present Sustainability Report focuses on the requirements of
the individual groups of NEUSIEDLER stakeholders, and aims at the highest possible
transparency in those areas that are of particular relevance for the paper
industry and the regions in which NEUSIEDLER operates. Environmental protection
and innovation are therefore centres of attention, and special emphasis is
put on corporate social responsibility, particularly in view of NEUSIEDLER’s commitment
to the community surrounding the Russian Syktyvkar mill, serving as
an example of how NEUSIEDLER’s community engagement relates to the conditions
and needs of the regions in which it operates.
This Report is subdivided according to the three classical pillars of sustainable
management: economy, ecology and social responsibility. By orienting its
activities and value creation towards these three pillars, NEUSIEDLER pledges
itself to striking a balance between the interests of all stakeholders.
