with the other crew getting second-unit coverage. More often, both crews were working within
several hundred feet of each other on different scenes so that the directors and actors could move
from one set to the other in minutes.
With the exception of the fl ood, everything from the equipment to the schedule and the strange
requirements on the script were meant to create a real model of a Hollywood feature. All union
requirements were also met whenever possible. The project truly gave the students knowledge of
what goes on when making a modest-budget feature, plus real world, on-set experience.
