Offering<br />
<strong>Securitas</strong> services a wide range of customers in a<br />
variety of industries and customer segments, ranging<br />
from governments, airports, infrastructure, office<br />
buildings, banks, shopping centers, hotels, manufacturing<br />
industries, mines, hospitals and residential<br />
areas to high-tech and IT companies. The size of the<br />
customers varies from the ‘shop on the corner’ to<br />
multi-billion industries.<br />
The services provided are specialized guarding<br />
and mobile services, monitoring, and consulting and<br />
investigations. <strong>Securitas</strong> can respond to unique and<br />
specific security challenges facing our customers,<br />
tailoring our offering according to their specific<br />
industry demands. Knowing how each customer<br />
segment works before we get to know our customer<br />
makes for a better result – for the customer as well<br />
as for us.<br />

<strong>Securitas</strong> employs some 240,000 people in 37 countries.<br />
In <strong>2008</strong>, total sales from continuing operations<br />
in the <strong>Securitas</strong> Group amounted to MSEK 56,572,<br />
and operating income from continuing operations<br />
amounted to MSEK 3,271.<br />

Markets and Organization<br />
<strong>Securitas</strong> operates in North America, Latin America,<br />
Europe, the Middle East and Asia. <strong>Securitas</strong> organizes<br />
its operations in a flat, decentralized structure<br />
with the business segments: Security Services North<br />
America, Security Services Europe, and Mobile and<br />
Monitoring.<br />
Security Services North America provides security<br />
services in the USA, Canada and Mexico, with<br />
over 600 branch offices and more than 100,000<br />
employees. <strong>Securitas</strong>’ market share is 16 percent in<br />
this region.<br />
Security Services Europe provides security services<br />
in 23 countries with more than 800 branch<br />
offices and 110,000 employees. <strong>Securitas</strong>’ market<br />
share is 17 percent in this region for these types of<br />
services.<br />
Mobile offers mobile security services, such as<br />
beat patrol and call-out services for small and<br />
medium-sized companies, and operates in eleven<br />
countries with 8,900 employees and 270 branch<br />
offices. Monitoring, also called <strong>Securitas</strong> Alert Services,<br />
offers electronic alarm surveillance to both<br />
homes and businesses. <strong>Securitas</strong> Alert Services<br />
operates control rooms in ten countries in Europe<br />
and has 900 employees. Together, Mobile and Monitoring’s<br />
market share is 17 percent in this region<br />
and for these types of service.<br />
