Part of the value of securities is used as collateral for a possible debit balance, amounting to EUR 5.0 million at
the Dutch Central Bank (2008: EUR 5.0 million) and EUR 11.6 million (2008: EUR 11.6 million) at a bank in Belgian.
The security for drawn loans amounts to EUR 6.3 million (2008: EUR 6.3 million) at a bank in Spain. The government
bonds reported in this item are stock exchange listed. The other bonds are unlisted.
In connection with differences between the acquisition prices and redemption values, as at 31 December 2009 an
amount of EUR 9.3 million (2008: EUR 6.6 million) has been included under Prepayments and accrued income and
an amount of EUR 0.7 million (2008: EUR 0.9 million) has been included under Accruals and deferred income.
