Additional Support
The project team would also like to acknowledge
and thank a number of other people and
organisations who provided support and advice to
various stages of this project, including:
Robert and Maggie Payne: provided additional
survey data and advice at their own expense
Andrew Paget: provided considerable information
on specific plant species and communities,
and on relationships between vegetation
communities
John Hunter: provided advice on various aspects
of the project as well as additional survey data
Bob Sewell: acted as the unofficial project
database expert, providing considerable advice
and expertise
Field assistants: various people acted as field
assistants to the botanists, in particular, Adam
Cavallaro and Tasman Willis, as well as a
number of students from the University of New
England
Hunter Water Corporation: provided access to
their landholdings for botanical surveys
Private landholders: a number of landholders
allowed botanical teams access to their
properties for the purposes of carrying out
surveys and for that data to be used in the
current study
DECC: staff from various sections provided
valuable support, data and advice to this project
Botanical illustrators and Botanic Gardens
Trust: provide an invaluable resource to a
project such as this, including assisting with
species identifications, maintaining up-todate
botanical resources such as PlantNET. In
addition, high-quality species line drawings
used in the vegetation community profiles
were sourced from the BGT and produced by
their staff. In particular, Catherine Wardrop and
Lesley Elkin were very helpful in preparing and
supplying line drawings at short notice.
