ASCD Conference on Teaching and Learning - What Works in Schools
WHEN: October 13-15,2006
WHERE: Orlando, Florida
WHY:
Professional development opportunity for members of the Ashton Ranch Leadership Team to bring
back instructional strategies as presented by nationally renowned researchers in education. This
supports the school improvement goals to Increase student achievement.
COST: Airfare for three - $945.00
Hotel for three nights - $1300 (two rooms)
Conference Registration - $14 15 .OO
These costs have been budgeted in the school's Title 1 allocation.
SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Governing Board approve the out of state travel of one administrator and three teachers from
Ashton Ranch Elementary School to attend the ASCD Conference on Teaching and Learning in Orlando, FL, on
October 13-15, 2006.
