Data desegregation indicated that:
- A composite total of 78% of the students in grades 3 - 8 met or
exceeded the standards tn mathemat~cs as measured by the
AIMS assessment 79% of students met or exceeded in the area
of writing and 74% met or exceeded in the area ofreadin The
total of students meeting or exceeding cn the Rree
areas combined is 78.2%, very close to the 2005-2006 target
goal for Sunset Hills of 80%.
Results data indicates a strong correlation between
classroom focus and assessment scores.
. The recommendation for goals in the 2006-2007 school
year is that Sunset H~lls' overall goal w~ll be for 84% of
students to meet or exceed the standards tn
mathematics, 85% in writing, and 80% in reading,
expecting a total composite percentage of 84%.

A detailed analysis of achievement data was completed by the
Sunset Hills leadersh~p cadre and shared with the entire teachcng
team, school slte councll, and PTO.
