Data desegregation indicated that:<br />

- A composite total of 78% of the students in grades 3 - 8 met or<br />

exceeded the standards tn mathemat~cs as measured by the<br />

AIMS assessment 79% of students met or exceeded in the area<br />

of writing and 74% met or exceeded in the area ofreadin The<br />

total of students meeting or exceeding cn the Rree<br />

areas combined is 78.2%, very close to the 2005-2006 target<br />

goal for Sunset Hills of 80%.<br />

Results data indicates a strong correlation between<br />

classroom focus and assessment scores.<br />

. The recommendation for goals in the 2006-2007 school<br />

year is that Sunset H~lls' overall goal w~ll be for 84% of<br />

students to meet or exceed the standards tn<br />

mathematics, 85% in writing, and 80% in reading,<br />

expecting a total composite percentage of 84%.<br />

Sunset Hills leadersh~p cadre and shared with the entire teachcng<br />

team, school slte councll, and PTO.<br />
