Research and Development
Delta boasts 1,100-plus experienced
product/system design engineers around the
globe. The group provides across-the-board
design and support to customers who need the
latest and most efficient power system
solution that will meet their end product
requirements. Our product/system designs are
particularly favored for high reliability
required applications, such as computer
system, networking and communication
equipment.
Our design engineering teams are located at all manufacturing sites as well as in the U.S.,
Europe and Asia allowing us to work closely with our customers' technical systems
teams. The Delta engineers are well versed in the design of both standard and custom
products/systems.
Delta's extensive background in design, development, and manufacturing of key
components for computer, communications, projection display and networking products
gives us a high degree of vertical integration and know-how in the critical areas of new
product design. Delta also has established key
partnerships with leading semiconductor companies to
develop new ASIC technologies thereby improving
quality while at the same time reducing both
components count and cost.
Our engineering group is equipped with fully
computerized design tools, such as CAD/CAE and
automatic testing equipment, to greatly enhance the
effectiveness and efficiency in the product
development phase. Beginning at the design stage,
our Quality Engineering Lab conducts concurrent
testing to ensure product reliability with
sophisticated electrical, mechanical, and environmental test equipment.
Delta devotes 5% of its sales revenues each year into R&D and currently has 11 R&D
centers worldwide. For instance, established in 1989, Delta's Power Electronics
Research Lab, located in North Carolina, USA, is continuously researching and creating
new technologies for practical power supply applications. With this group of highcaliber
scientists and professionals, one can be sure that Delta is constantly looking after
and ahead of its customer requirements, as well as the market's requirement of
information technology, telecommunication and networking systems.
