In addition to the mandatory provisions required by Reg. 37, Annex I, MARPOL 73/78
which are mentioned in Sections 1 to 4 of this Plan, local requirements, insurance
company or owner/operator policies etc. may dictate the provisions of additional guidance.
Such additional information material, including diagrams and/or drawings, reference
material etc., may be of help for the Master when responding to an oil pollution incident or
an emergency situation as well as may be required by local Authorities in ports visited by
the individual ship.
• MV BLUEFIN Shipboard Oil Pollution Emergency Plan and General tank
arrangements and pumping arrangements including Standard operating procedures
are located starboard side bridge under the book shelf.
• MV BLUEFIN Stability book is located on the Book shelf above the chart table.
• Oil spill response kit is located Starboard side crew deck in the wheelie bin labelled

• This Equipment is maintained by the Chief Engineer and is included in the MV
BLUEFIN Monthly Maintenance Check List found in folder no 3 Monthly & Quarterly
routine surveys located in the Chief Engineers cabin.
• Inventory of the oil spill response kit is located in folder 11 forms in the Chief
Engineers cabin.
• Emergency response drill will be carried out 6 Yearly in conjunction with Damage
Control Drills and recorded in the Safety Management Plan Appendix 4.10 record of
crew training drills
