^C1--8 to 24 centimeters; brown (10YR 4/3) silt loam, brown (10YR 5/3), dry; 15 percent fine faint (10YR
5/3) mottles; weak medium angular blocky, and moderate medium platy structure; very firm, hard, slightly
sticky, slightly plastic; common very fine roots throughout; few very fine interstitial pores; clear smooth
boundary.

^Ab--47 to 50 centimeters; black (7.5YR 2.5/1) silt loam, very dark brown (7.5YR 2.5/2), dry; weak fine
subangular blocky, and weak fine granular structure; friable, moderately hard, slightly sticky, slightly
plastic; very few very fine and fine roots throughout; few very fine and fine irregular pores; abrupt smooth
boundary.
^Bwb1--50 to 64 centimeters; brown (10YR 4/3) silt loam, yellowish brown (10YR 5/4), dry; 15 percent
fine faint (10YR 2/1) mottles; massive; firm, slightly hard, slightly sticky, slightly plastic; very few very fine
roots throughout; few very fine interstitial and tubular pores; 10 percent 7.5YR 3/4 iron-manganese
masses; clear wavy boundary.

medium platy structure; firm, moderately hard, slightly sticky, slightly plastic; few very fine roots
