Hamburg silt loam<br />
Loess Depth: 22 meters<br />
Parent material: calcareous loess.<br />
Landscape position: very steep convex shoulders or back slopes on uplands.<br />
Percent slope: 2-90%<br />
Classification: Coarse-silty, mixed, superactive, calcareous, mesic Typic Udorthents<br />
Drainage class: Somewhat excessively drained<br />
Associated soils: Castana silt loam (foot slope)<br />
Sand content: 10 to 50 percent, mostly very fine sand.<br />
Silt content: coarse silt to fine ratio is approximately 3 to 1.<br />
Clay content: 6 to 15%<br />
