Loess Depth: 15 to 5 meters<br />

Parent material: leached loess<br />

Landscape position: interfluves and side slopes on dissected till plains and risers and treads on<br />

loess covered stream terraces.<br />

Percent slope: 0-40%<br />

Classification: Fine-silty, mixed, superactive, mesic Typic Hapludolls<br />

Drainage class: Well drained<br />

Associated soils: Judson silty clay loam (foot slope)<br />

Sand content: less than 5 percent<br />

Silt content: coarse silt to fine ratio is approximately 1.5 to 1.75 to 1 in the B horizon<br />

Clay content: 27 to 30 percent in the upper B horizon<br />
