The @inbook and @incollection types are intended to contain records for
component parts of a book—a single article or chapter, for instance, that is
self contained.
If you wish to define a single @inbook, without also defining a separare
entry for the larger book, then essentially the same fields as are given in
relation to books apply, but:
author Refers to the author of the individual part, not the
collection as a whole.
editor In the case of the @incollection this refers to the
editor of the collection rather than the individual item.
(It is assumed that individual items do not have their
own editors.
bookauthor Refers to the author of the whole book, rather than
the individual work.
booktitle Refers to the title of the main book, not the individual
work.
mainttitle Refers to the title of the main book, not the individual
work.
See example 85 for an example.
It is often easier, as in examples 86 and 87, to define the main @book or
@collection, and then use cross references for individual parts. In that case,
all you are likely to need in the cross references is the author and title (since
oscola does not require page or chapter references).
