It is also observed that the waste generated from the hotels, fish and meat stalls and
vegetable market being used for anaerobic composting ìward level secondary
sorting and segregationî of non-Bio, recyclable waste is also being done to remove
especially the plastic waste. Also 60% waste is segregated at source.
8.4.2 Collection of Solid Waste
Existing solid waste disposal Sight
The collection of solid waste in Arani Town is through Pushcarts and Collection bins.
The secondary collection of the garbage in the town is done with the help of Tipper
Lorries.

The collected waste is segregated under the category of biodegradable, non-
biodegradable and recyclable waste and transported by tractor and taken to the
waste disposal site near the town boundary. All wastes is dumped in the dumping
