Kaupuni Village, Wai‘anae, O‘ahu<br />

19-unit project: Site work began in April 2009 and has been completed. House construction began<br />

in May 2010 and is expected to be completed in December 2010. This unique subdivision was<br />

designed with a blend of the newest energy technology and traditional Hawaiian practices to support<br />

a self-sufficient and sustainable lifestyle. All homes include energy-efficient features such as<br />

solar water heating, photovoltaic panels to generate electricity, and energy efficient lighting and<br />

appliances. A community center, named Hale Kumuwaiwai will provide community members opportunities<br />

to produce and prepare their own foods, share knowledge, and recreate.<br />

Nānākuli Avenue Sidewalk Improvements, O‘ahu<br />

Installation of 2,300 lineal feet of sidewalks along Nanakuli Avenue fronting the Nānākuli Middle<br />

and High School. The project also involves handicap ramps and other appurtenances. The project is<br />

anticipated to be bid in the Fall of 2010.<br />

Kēō<strong>ke</strong>a-Waiohuli, Kula, Maui<br />

386-unit project: This project is <strong>ma</strong>de up of 66 farm lots and 320 undivided interest lots. Site work<br />

for the Phase 1 of Kēō<strong>ke</strong>a-Waiohuli Development consisting of 98 undivided interest lots began in<br />

September 2006 and was completed in February 2009. Due to severe drainage concerns, additional<br />

engineering work and construction of drainage structures is proposed for 2011 before homes can<br />

be built.<br />
