East Mo‘omomi Road Improvements, Moloka‘i Design of this 2-mile stretch of roadway was completed in March 2010. Construction of the project is anticipated to begin in the Summer of 2010 and completed by the Fall of 2010. Kapa‘akea Drainage Improvements, Moloka‘i Construction of drainage improvements along the East and West drainage systems of the Kapa‘akea Subdivision. Bidding of this project is anticipated for Fall 2010. Moloka‘i Water System, Emergency Generator, Moloka‘i Installation of a back-up generator to the existing water system and support facilities will begin in the Spring of 2011. Moloka‘i Water System, SCADA System, Moloka‘i Installation of the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system to monitor the water level of the aquifer, and quality of water within the aquifer, will begin in the Spring of 2011. Pi‘ilani Mai Ke Kai in Anahola, Kaua‘i 80-unit project: Site work began in September 2006 and completed in April 2009. The first phase of homes began shortly thereafter and 36 turnkey units are complete. Fifteen vacant lot awards were also awarded of which two homes are built and two are under construction. Land Management Division The Land Management Division (LMD) is responsible for the management of all DHHL non-homestead assets. These lands comprise the bulk of Hawaiian home land inventory (approximately 80%) and include those utilized for agricultural production, pastoral purposes, and commercial and industrial use. Through its various land dispositions, LMD generates revenue to support homestead development projects.
