FACILITIES SUSTAINMENT, RESTORATION, AND MODERNIZATION<br />

Air Force<br />

• The Air Force is requesting $2,500 million in FY 2014 for FSRM in its O&M, Air Force appropriation. These funds reflect a net<br />

increase <strong>of</strong> $196 million from <strong>the</strong> FY 2013 funding level: $44 million in price growth <strong>and</strong> $152 million in program increases. The<br />

FY 2014 program achieves an 80 percent sustainment level <strong>and</strong> funds critical annual <strong>maintenance</strong> <strong>and</strong> repair activities.<br />

• The Air Force request includes $24 million for its demolition program, consistent with prior year funding levels.<br />

Defense-Wide<br />

• The Defense-Wide activities are requesting $221 million in FY 2014 for FSRM in <strong>the</strong> O&M, Defense-Wide appropriation. These<br />

funds reflect a net increase <strong>of</strong> $14 million from <strong>the</strong> FY 2013 funding level: $4 million in price growth <strong>and</strong><br />

$10 million in program increases.<br />

Defense Health Program (DHP)<br />

• The DHP is requesting $1,033 million in FY 2014 for FSRM in its O&M budget activity. These funds reflect a net increase <strong>of</strong><br />

$114 million from <strong>the</strong> FY 2013 funding level: $17 million for price growth <strong>and</strong> $97 million for program increases. The program<br />

funds <strong>the</strong> <strong>maintenance</strong> <strong>of</strong> military medical facilities, such as heating <strong>and</strong> air conditioning units, <strong>and</strong> plumbing <strong>and</strong> electrical<br />

systems, that are required to support active duty, military dependents, eligible retirees, <strong>and</strong> family members. The FY 2014<br />

program achieves a 100 percent sustainment level <strong>and</strong> funds critical annual <strong>maintenance</strong> <strong>and</strong> repair activities.<br />

Guard <strong>and</strong> Reserve Forces<br />

• The Guard <strong>and</strong> Reserve Forces are requesting $1,494 million in FY 2014, which reflects an increase <strong>of</strong> $78 million from <strong>the</strong><br />

FY 2013 funding level: $27 million in price growth <strong>and</strong> $51 million in program increases. The program supports <strong>the</strong> <strong>maintenance</strong><br />

<strong>and</strong> restoration <strong>of</strong> real property facilities including: buildings, roads, grounds, <strong>and</strong> airfields <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Guard <strong>and</strong> Reserve. These<br />

facilities support <strong>the</strong> combat readiness for <strong>the</strong> Guard <strong>and</strong> Reserve that enables <strong>the</strong>m to augment <strong>the</strong> active forces.<br />

• The Guard <strong>and</strong> Reserve Forces request includes $13 million for <strong>the</strong>ir demolition programs, which is a decrease <strong>of</strong> $3 million from<br />

<strong>the</strong> FY 2013 funded level.<br />
