The methodology of this <strong>integrated</strong> approach c<strong>an</strong> benefit pipeline m<strong>an</strong>ufacturers<br />

at large if it c<strong>an</strong> be implemented during the design <strong>an</strong>d operation stages of the<br />

composite repair that usually involve different material types (e.g. carbon fibre, glass<br />

fibre <strong>an</strong>d others), dimensions etc. Through this, the integrity of bonding c<strong>an</strong> be assessed<br />

in the most economic <strong>an</strong>d effective way. Lastly, this <strong>integrated</strong> approach c<strong>an</strong> also be<br />

considered as one of the potential <strong>structural</strong> health monitoring techniques that c<strong>an</strong> be<br />

used on site because of its remarkable <strong>an</strong>d convincing results that show good<br />

agreements between simulations <strong>an</strong>d experiments. Figure 1.2 shows the methodology of<br />

this <strong>integrated</strong> pipeline repair.<br />
