If you are installing <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> on a server that has other uses (for example,<br />

application server), <strong>Trend</strong> <strong>Micro</strong> recommends that you install on a server that is not<br />

running mission-critical or resource-intensive applications.<br />

Depending on your network topology, you may need to perform additional site-specific<br />

tasks.<br />

Understanding Multiple-Site Deployment<br />

As with single-site deployment, collect relevant network information and identify how<br />

this information relates to deploying <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> to your multiple sites.<br />

Given the uniqueness of each network, exercise judgment as to how many <strong>Control</strong><br />

<strong>Manager</strong> servers would be optimal.<br />

Deploy <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> servers in a number of different locations, including the<br />

demilitarized zone (DMZ) or the private network. Position the <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> server<br />

in the DMZ on the public network to administer managed products, endpoints, or child
