Upgrading Servers or Migrating Agents to <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong><br />
Because of new <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> access control features, functions previously handled<br />
by separate <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> servers, to restrict user access to specific segments of the<br />
antivirus network, can now be combined in a single <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> server.<br />
<strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> 2.5x Agent Migration Flow<br />
During <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> 2.5x agent migration, the Agent Migration tool performs the<br />
following:<br />
1. Stops the <strong>Trend</strong> <strong>Micro</strong> Management Infrastructure service<br />
2. Obtains the Product Directory information from the <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> 5.0/5.5<br />
server<br />
3. Removes the agent information from the <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> 5.0/5.5 database and<br />
TMI.cfg<br />
