Installing <strong>Trend</strong> <strong>Micro</strong> <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> for the First Time<br />

• Medium: If supported, all communication between <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> and<br />

managed products use 128-bit encryption. This is the default setting when<br />

installing <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong>.<br />

• Low: All communication between <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> and managed products<br />

use 40-bit encryption. This is the least secure communication method<br />

between <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> and other products.<br />

3. Select a host address for agents to communicate with <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong>:<br />

• FQDN/host name<br />

a. Select Fully qualified domain name (FQDN) or host name.<br />

b. Select or type an FQDN or host name in the accompanying field.<br />

• IP address<br />

4. Click Next.<br />

a. Select IP address.<br />

By default the IP address field displays an IPv4 address. When users<br />

install <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> on a pure IPv6 server, the IP address field<br />

displays the local IPv4 address (127.0.0.1).<br />

The Specify Web Server Information screen appears.<br />
