Upgrading Servers or Migrating Agents to <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong><br />
Rolling Back to <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> 5.0/5.5<br />
Servers<br />
If upgrading to <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> 6.0 is unsuccessful, perform the following steps to roll<br />
back to your <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> 5.0/5.5 system.<br />
Scenario 1: Rolling Back a <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> 6.0 Server to<br />
<strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> 5.0/5.5<br />
Use one of the following methods to roll back the <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> 5.0/5.5 system:<br />
• Roll back from a <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> server and database backup<br />
• Roll back from an entire operating system of the server and the <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong><br />
database backup<br />
Rolling Back from a <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> Server and Database<br />
Backup<br />
Procedure<br />
1. Remove the <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> 6.0 server.<br />
2. Install the <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> 5.0/5.5 server.<br />
3. Apply the required <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> 5.0/5.5 service packs and hot fixes.<br />
WARNING!<br />
Apply only the service packs and hot fixes that the original <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> 5.0/5.5<br />
server had installed.<br />
4. Restore the <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> 5.0/5.5 database with the backup database.<br />
5. Restore all the <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> 5.0/5.5 folders with the backed up folders.<br />
6. Restore <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> 5.0/5.5 registries with the backed up registries.<br />
