Chap. I I. Item. My will is that my part in ye Bed <strong>and</strong><br />

1740. furniture a new trunk last bought & what is in it,<br />

Chastain.black walnut Tables, a box Iron one pr. h<strong>and</strong> Irons,<br />

one brass Cettle a side saddle <strong>and</strong> all my wearing<br />

apparrel. Not to be appraised nor one piece thread<br />

not to be appraised.<br />

Item. I declare by t<strong>his</strong> my Testament that I<br />

Constitute <strong>and</strong> ordain my Brother John James<br />

<strong>Dupuy</strong> to be my Lawful Executor <strong>and</strong> Administrator<br />

of t<strong>his</strong> my last Will <strong>and</strong> Testament.<br />

Item. I intend <strong>and</strong> will have t<strong>his</strong> my Testament<br />

to be Executed after my Death declaring that<br />

it is my last Will <strong>and</strong> for t<strong>his</strong> Effect I renounce to<br />

all laws & Customs if any be Contrary to my<br />

Intention in testimony thereof I have Set my h<strong>and</strong><br />

<strong>and</strong> Seal to it after I have heard it read Witness<br />

t<strong>his</strong> 23rd of April 1740.<br />

be the act <strong>and</strong> Deed of Martha Chastain, deced.<br />
