12. COOLING SYSTEM<br />
Thermostat<br />
Please refer to chapter 17 for inspection of<br />
temperature sensor.<br />
Removal<br />
Remove the luggage box and body cover.<br />
Drain out the coolant.<br />
Disconnect the cable of temperature sensor.<br />
Disconnect the by-pass pipe.<br />
Remove the thermostat set. (1 bolt)<br />
Installation<br />
Apply a coat of sealant or equivalent to the thread<br />
of temperature sensor and install it on the holder.<br />
Connect the cable to the temperature sensor.<br />
Refill the coolant and bleed out the air bubble<br />
(Page 12-5).<br />
Install the luggage box and body cover.<br />
Disassembly<br />
Remove the temperature sensor and O-ring from<br />
the thermostat body.<br />
Remove 2 bolts and separate the thermostat body<br />
from the cover.<br />
Remove the thermostat.<br />
