Disgrifio:<br />

Gofynnwch i'r plentyn ddisgrifio gwrthrych neu degan, e.e. mae<br />

cwningen tegan gyda dillad mewn sach deithio. Gall fod gan y<br />

gwningen fag gyda chardiau post ynddo. Gofynnwch i'r plentyn<br />

ddisgrifio'r gwningen a'r hyn sydd ar y cardiau post. Nodwch y<br />

disgrifiadau a roddir gan y plentyn ar gyfer yr eitemau.<br />

Cyflwynwyd 'Y Dewin' a'i gi i'r rhan fwyaf o'r lleoliadau cyn ysgol<br />

yng Nghymru. Cysylltwch y gweithgaredd hwn â'r dewin a thrafodwch y lleoedd y<br />

bu'r dewin yn ymweld â hwy.<br />

Nid oes rhaid i chi gwblhau pob un o'r tasgau hyn gyda phob plentyn, a gellir<br />

amrywio'r tasgau. Gallwch hefyd ychwanegu ailadrodd ac arsylwi (yn ystod<br />

amseroedd chwarae rhydd er enghraifft) a thasgau eraill hefyd. Sicrhewch fod y<br />

tasgau'n apelio i'r plentyn fel ei fod yn teimlo'n hapus ac yn addasu i'r iaith.<br />

Identifying:<br />

Have the child look into a box containing several small objects,<br />

take them out and name them. Choose different objects to place<br />

in the box for each child, depending on the child’s <strong>language</strong> skills.<br />

Write down what you put into the box, and what the child says<br />

about the objects.<br />

Describing:<br />

Have the child describe an object or toy, e.g. a toy rabbit with<br />

clothes is in a rucksack. The rabbit might have a bag with some<br />

postcards in it. Ask the child to describe the rabbit and what is on<br />

the postcards. Write down the descriptions the child gives for the<br />

items. In Wales most of the pre-school settings were presented<br />

with ‘Y Dewin’ (the wizard) and his dog. Link this activity with the<br />

wizard and discuss the places the wizard has visited.<br />

You don’t need to complete all of these tasks with every child, and the tasks<br />

can be varied. You can also add repetition and observation (during free playtimes<br />

for example) and other tasks as well. Make the tasks appealing to the child so that<br />

he/she feels happy and adapts to the <strong>language</strong>.
