Console access<br />

The Aggregator has two management ports available for system access: a serial console port and an<br />

out-of-bounds (OOB) port.<br />

Serial Console<br />

A universal serial bus (USB) (A-Type) connector is located on the front panel. The USB can be defined as<br />

an External Serial Console (RS-232) port, and is labeled on the Aggregator. The USB is on the lower side<br />

of an installed Aggregator, as you face the I/O side of the M1000e chassis (Figure 4-1). For the console<br />

port piMnout, refer to Table 4-1.<br />

To access the console port, follow these steps.<br />

Step Task<br />

1 Connect the USB connector to the front panel. Use the RS-232 Serial Line cable to connect the Aggregator<br />

console port to a terminal server.<br />

2 Connect the other end of the cable to the DTE terminal server.<br />

Ports 49 to 52 (4x10GbE mode)<br />

4-Port 10-GbE SFP+ or<br />
