Battery
The vehicle may be equipped with deep cycle
maintenance free batteries. When it is time for a
new battery, get one that has the replacement
number shown on the original battery’s label. We
®
recommend an Optima replacement battery. See
Engine Compartment Overview on page 5-4 for
battery location.
Warning: Battery posts, terminals and related
accessories contain lead and lead compounds,
chemicals known to the State of California to cause
cancer and reproductive harm. Wash hands after
handling.
Note: There is also a 12-volt battery located on
the frame under the vehicle on the passenger side.
Vehicle Storage
If you are not going to drive your vehicle for 48 hours
or more, place the vehicle load disconnect switch in
the OFF position. See Vehicle Load Disconnect
Switch on page 2-3. This will help keep your
batteries from running down.
Jump Starting (12V System)
use another vehicle to provide power to start the
Heavy duty jumper cables can be used to jump start
the 12-volt system.
