Storing a Flat or Spare Tire and Tools<br />

This applies only to vehicle’s featuring Option<br />

Package EMP (Enhanced Mobility Package) only. For<br />

vehicles without EMP refer to the <strong>2006</strong> Vehicle Owner<br />

<strong>Manual</strong>.<br />

1. Return the tire back into<br />

the tire carrier and<br />

install retainer (A),<br />

washer and retainer nut<br />

(B).<br />

CAUTION:<br />

Storing a jack, a tire, or other equipment in the<br />

passenger compartment of the vehicle could<br />

cause injury. In a sudden stop or collision,<br />

loose equipment could strike someone. Store all<br />

these in the proper place.<br />

Return the jack, wheel blocks, wheel wrench and<br />

jack handle to their location on the floor at the rear<br />

of the cab.<br />

In-Cab Tire Carrier<br />

2. Turn the nut clockwise until a minimum of 5<br />

visible threads are showing.<br />

Except In-Cab Tire Carrier<br />

2. Tighten the nuts firmly. Try to move the tire back<br />

and forth slightly to be sure it is secure.<br />

To store the flat or spare tire on the tire carrier,<br />

do the following:<br />
