As can be seen, each of the DSCP markings corresponds to one of the 12 QoS classes. Because assured<br />

forwarding (AF) traffic may be marked down (for example from AFx1 to AFx2 or AFx3) within service<br />

provider Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) networks, these have been added to the diffserv<br />

aggregation profile as separate aggregation groups in the example above. This can provide additional<br />

value in that you may be able determine whether traffic within the particular assured forwarding traffic<br />

classes is being marked down because the traffic rates are outside the contracted rates of the service<br />
