endpoints to the <strong>Cisco</strong> Unified Communications Manager can be centrally<br />

viewed from the <strong>Cisco</strong> Unified Communications Manager Administration<br />

web-based GUI.<br />

• The <strong>Cisco</strong> Unified Communications Manager centrally controls the<br />

configuration of <strong>Cisco</strong> TelePresence System endpoints via the <strong>Cisco</strong> Unified<br />

Communications Manager Administration web-based GUI.<br />

• The <strong>Cisco</strong> Unified Communications Manager centrally controls the<br />

provisioning (that is, downloading of system load and device configuration)<br />

for <strong>Cisco</strong> TelePresence System endpoints via TFTP/HTTP server<br />

functionality.<br />

• Call detail records (CDRs) captured by the <strong>Cisco</strong> Unified Communications<br />

Manager can be used to determine start and stop times for <strong>Cisco</strong> TelePresence<br />

meetings. These may be used to bill back individual departments based on<br />

TelePresence room resource usage.<br />

• The <strong>Cisco</strong> Unified Communications Manager Administration web-based GUI<br />

provides the ability to statically limit the amount of network bandwidth<br />

resources used for audio and video per TelePresence meeting and per overall<br />

location.<br />

Note that <strong>Cisco</strong> Unified Communications Manager location-based<br />

admission control has no knowledge of network topology.<br />

Security<br />

management<br />

• The <strong>Cisco</strong> Unified Communications Manager centrally controls the security<br />

configuration of <strong>Cisco</strong> TelePresence System endpoints via the <strong>Cisco</strong> Unified<br />

Communications Manager Administration web-based GUI.<br />

• In combination with the Certificate Authority Proxy Function (CAPF) and<br />

Certificate Trust List (CTL) Provider functionality, <strong>Cisco</strong> Unified<br />

Communications Manager provides the framework for enabling secure<br />

communications (media) and signaling (call signaling, and web services) for<br />

TelePresence deployments.<br />
