Pre-Foundation learners with training providers.<br />

• Child Benefit <strong>and</strong> other benefits your family receives for you will<br />

continue.<br />

• A new Learner Support Fund for 16-18s was announced in October<br />

2010.<br />

• This will help 16-18s in full-time learning <strong>and</strong> from families with a low<br />

household income<br />

• Schools <strong>and</strong> colleges will decide who can claim this.<br />

• Ask your PA for the latest details.<br />

• From January 2011 EMAs will NOT be available to new learners 16-<br />

18. All new EMA applications for learning in the rest of this academic<br />

year 2010-11, must be received by the Learner Support <strong>Service</strong> no<br />

later than 31 December 2010. Any EMA applications received on or<br />

after 1 January 2011 will not be processed.<br />
