What will they ask me?
The following questions are often asked at interviews. Try to think how
you would answer them:
“Tell me about yourself”
Don’t give them your life history! Pick out information that is relevant to
work and this job.
“Why have you applied for this job/course/apprenticeship?”
Link your interests and skills to the vacancy details.
Be enthusiastic.
“What is your best school subject?”
“When can you start?”
“What do you know about us?”
See if the company has a website before you go.
“Have you anything to ask me?”
Any questions should be positive and show you are really interested in the
job; for example, you could ask for more information about the training
you will have to do.
If you feel the interviewer has covered everything, say so politely “No, I
think you have covered everything - but when will you let me know if I’ve
been successful, please?”
