After 6th form college I went to university to study<br />
economics. During the course I had a year working in<br />
industry with a firm of business consultants who advised<br />
organisations about ways to develop their businesses.<br />
It was very dem<strong>and</strong>ing but great! I learnt a lot about<br />
business plans <strong>and</strong> market research.<br />
I decided to finish my degree before starting my own<br />
company. Having the qualification has helped when<br />
getting financial backing.<br />

My business partner is the IT brains <strong>and</strong> I look after<br />
developing the business, marketing <strong>and</strong> networking. We<br />
both have our responsibilities.<br />
It’s very hard work for hardly any pay but we are making<br />
great progress. The next 12 months are crucial.<br />
