Whether you use the buoyancy technique,<br />

the displacement principle or the pycnometer<br />

method for determining solid, powdery or<br />

liquid samples – Sartorius offers you the<br />

technical equipment for performing these<br />

applications simply, quickly and precisely.<br />

sequences with delicate and sensitive<br />

instruments. This is why our density kits<br />

have been built to be especially rugged and<br />

uncomplicated.<br />

Perfected technology and practical<br />

accessories<br />

Large and easily accessible sample holders<br />

are supplied so that you can perform measurements<br />

in air or in a medium causing<br />

buoyancy. The special design prevents<br />

air bubbles from adhering, which could<br />

otherwise distort your results.<br />

The integrated application software<br />

controls the measurements and evaluates<br />

them for you.<br />

The application software integrated into the<br />

balances of the ME and LA series provides you<br />

with the ultimate in user convenience.<br />

Just select your preferred method of measurement<br />

by menu, weigh your samples and<br />

the balance does all the number crunching<br />

for you. In the process, it automatically<br />

takes into account all important factors that<br />

influence the measurement. For example,<br />

after you have entered the temperature,<br />

the balance directly determines the density<br />

of the selected immersion medium.<br />

Results in black and white<br />

A record of your results is printed out on<br />

the interfaced data printer – if you wish, in<br />

compliance with ISO/GLP.<br />

The printout shows data on:<br />

Temperature and density of the medium<br />

causing buoyancy<br />

Sample weight in air and in the medium<br />

The volume and the density of the sample<br />

If you weigh a substance with a density less<br />

than that of the liquid causing buoyancy –<br />

forget the extra work. The specially shaped<br />

sieve lets you immerse your sample effortlessly<br />

below the surface of the liquid.<br />

And determination of the density of liquids<br />

couldn’t be easier with our standardized glass<br />
