A new genus and species, Protanaides
sibiricus gen et sp. nov., of the
subfamily Anaidinae (family Hybosoridae)
from the Lower Cretaceous Baisa
locality in Transbaikalia is described.
This find adds considerably to knowledge
of the diversity of this subfamily in
the Mesozoic of Asia and gives evidence
of the relict status of the Recent Anaidinae.

Lower Callovian deposits (subpatruus
and koenigi ammonite zones) in
the Mikhailovskii Mine section (Central
Russia, Kursk Region) yielded 13 ostracode
species (two of them are new) belonging
to ten genera. This ostracode
assemblage corresponds to ostracode
beds with Praeschuleridea wartae-
Pleurocythere kurskensis. The stratigraphic
range of these beds corresponds
to three ammonite biohorizons:
Chamoussetia crobyloides, Kepplerites
gowerianus gowerianus, and K. indigestus.
Three distinct ostracode assemblages
have been defined in the section
based on their taxonomy and occurrence
pattern. Two new species, Pleurocythere
kurskensis sp. nov. and Pseudohutsonia
wienholzae sp. nov., are described.

New grylloblattids of the family
Lemmatophoridae (Insecta: Grylloblattida),
Artinska sojanensis sp. nov., Sylvaprisca
colorata sp. nov., and Uraloprisca
lisca gen. et sp. nov., from the
Soyana locality (Lower Kazanian, Arkhangelsk
Region) and Paraprisca
solikamskensis sp. nov. from the
Tyul’kino locality (Ufimian, Perm Region)
are described. Two species are
transferred from the genus Paraprisca to
Uraloprisca gen. nov.: Uraloprisca
uralica (G. Zalessky, 1952), comb. nov.
and Uraloprisca causaria (Novokshonov,
2000), comb. nov. (both from
the Kungurian of the Perm Region). The
evolution of the family is discussed.
