with worker ants, aphids were found in
only one syninclusion with Ctenobethylus
goepperti (Mayr). In a collection of
Saxonian amber, 53 aphids of the genus
Germaraphis were found in 152 amber
pieces with ant workers; five syninclusions
with aphids contained 19 specimens
of C. goepperti; two syninclusions
contained ten specimens of Lasius
schiefferdeckeri Mayr; and three syninclusions
contained one specimen each:
one Camponotus mengei Mayr, one
Anonichomyrma constricta (Mayr), and
one Formica flori Mayr. Considering
that the Rovno and Saxonian collections
are nearly equal in the number of amber
pieces, the fundamental difference in the
number of syninclusions is striking. The
number of C. goepperti in syninclusions
is disproportionately high; the proportion
of syninclusions with aphids and C.
goepperti is 1.6 times that of all inclusions
of workers of this species. They
are found in 31% of examined inclusions
of workers in the collection of the
Saxonian amber, but in 50% of syninclusions
of the entire collection. This
strongly suggests that C. goepperti and
Germaraphis formed an association during
their lifetime.

Nymphs of fossil grylloblattid insects
are revised. Newly described taxa are
Lemmatonympha gracilissima gen. et sp.
nov. and Kaltanympha vorcutensis sp.
nov. from the Verkhne-Syr’yaginsk locality
(Ufimian, Lek-Vorkuta Formation
in the Vorkuta Coal Basin), genera Sylvalitoralis
gen. nov. and Tshebardanympha
gen. nov. from the Tshekarda
locality (Kungurian, Koshelevka Formation,
Middle Urals), Tataronymphakamensis
gen. et sp. nov. from the
Tikhie Gory locality (Lower Kazanian,
linguloid beds of the Baitugan Formation,
Tatarstan), and Kaltanympha ornata
sp. nov. from the Kerbo locality
(Upper Tatarian, lower part of the Degali
Formation, Evenki Autonomous
Region). Liomopterites (?) gracilis
Sharov, 1961 from Lower Kazanian deposits
of the Kuznetsk Formation in the
Kuznetsk Basin is transferred to the genus
Kaltanympha Sharov, 1961; Permonympha
arcuata Sharov, 1957 from
the same locality is synonymized under
Permonympha gracile Sharov, 1957; the
nymph described from the Karatau locality
(Upper Jurassic, Karabastau Formation
in southern Kazakhstan) as Blattogryllus
karatavicus Rasnitsyn, 1976 is
excluded from grylloblattids. Keys to
extinct grylloblattid nymphs are provided.

About 40 type specimens of archostematan
beetles from the Jurassic,
Lower Cretaceous, and Paleogene of
England, named by P. Brodie, J.O.
Westwood, C. Giebel, A. Handlirsch, F.
Zeuner, P. Whalley, and R. Crowson
and stored in the Paleontological Department
of the Natural History Museum
(London) are redescribed. Nine genera
and 11 species are recognized, three
genera are assigned to Archostemata for
the first time. One new species, Tersus
crowsoni (Schizophoridae), is described.
