For connection to the Computer Network, please read the in<strong>for</strong>mation<br />
available on the <strong>College</strong> web site and complete the on-line <strong>for</strong>m to obtain<br />
a TCP/IP address and appropriate s<strong>of</strong>tware. There is a connection charge <strong>of</strong><br />
£35 <strong>for</strong> this service.<br />

6.3 TELEPHONE<br />
Outgoing calls can be made from the Phonecard payphones near ‘A’ door.<br />
Please note that the <strong>College</strong> Office does not supply Phonecards, which can<br />
be obtained from local retail outlets. These telephones are barred at the<br />
exchange from receiving incoming calls.<br />
There are <strong>University</strong> Network phones located in the corridors <strong>of</strong> each<br />
wing <strong>of</strong> the Norfolk Building.<br />

Callers from outside the <strong>University</strong> can access these lines by dialling an<br />
extra ‘3’ be<strong>for</strong>e these five-digit numbers, prefixed by the Cambridge area<br />
code if appropriate. All rooms also have access to telephone lines operated<br />
by NTL. For connection <strong>of</strong> a telephone please contact NTL (tel: 0800 052<br />
1680).<br />
6.4 POSTAL ARRANGEMENTS<br />
<strong>Members</strong> should check their pigeonholes in the foyer <strong>of</strong> the <strong>College</strong> daily,<br />
if possible, to pick up mail, notes from supervisors, etc. This is particularly<br />
important <strong>for</strong> students living out, as it is usual in Cambridge to<br />
communicate via the <strong>College</strong>. <strong>St</strong>udents are asked to note that each<br />
student’s pigeonhole is the one below his or her name.<br />
Letters <strong>for</strong> the Master and Fellows should be left in the pigeonhole <strong>for</strong><br />
the <strong>College</strong> Office; <strong>of</strong>fice staff will clear this and ensure that the items are<br />
deposited in the appropriate pigeonhole.<br />
Letters to be posted should be stamped and can be left in the pigeonhole<br />
marked Royal Mail. The <strong>of</strong>fice staff will clear this and ensure the items are<br />
