This unique ballyhoo for "Meet
Me a\ the Fair" was developed by
Walter Kessler, manager of the
Ohio Theatre in Columbus. It's a
mechanical orchestra, with movements
synchronized to songs from
the picture which were played
over the truck's amplifier system.
At left, two blowups in full
color were placed back-to-back
and suspended from the lobby
chandelier by Bob Bowman,
Warner Theatre, Erie, Pa., to
make this flash for "Million
Dollar Mermaid."
Right, Evans Printing footprints
were utilized by Buddy Brown,
Miller, Wichita, Kas., to create
special effects around "Road
to Bali" posters in theatre
lobby.
Roy Kane, manager of the Reeves Theatre, Elkin, N. C, reports he
didn't really have to build a front for "Ruby Gentry" as she had
her own. Nevertheless he stopped traffic with these eye-filling
posters mounted on easel frames.
Background used several times in the past was freshened up and
transformed into an attractive flash front for "Cleopatra" by Dal
Schuder, manager of Keith's Theatre, Indianapolis. Poster cutouts
and stills comprise main art.
