C'dward G. Robinson was guest of honor at<br />
an Israel bond dinner here. He was<br />
celebrating a quater-century as an actor on<br />
the occasion . Mayfair Art again lends<br />
its lobby to a showing o£ oil paintings, this<br />
time those of Alan Shaw's . Hi-Way<br />
Drive-In has been using enlarged advertising<br />
space to publicize its show of the week,<br />
including an animal circus in addition to its<br />
double feature. At no increase in admission,<br />
patrons were treated to a circus performance<br />
that featured elephants. The drive-in"s<br />
conce-ssion stand specializes in chicken and<br />
shrimp in the basket.<br />
Spencer Tracy is the head-turner at the<br />
Boca Raton club, where he is visiting with<br />
20th-Fox film executive Joseph Mankiewicz<br />

During the run of "Taxi" at the Town, a<br />

in advertising, "and we want you to join<br />
us in the happiest, most entertaining anniversary<br />

dates 1926-1953 pointed up the attractive ad<br />
that publicized a carefully planned show.<br />
The Olympia is the only house in the entire<br />
area that has been able successfully to present<br />
vaudeville in addition to films as its<br />
regular weekly policy. Al Weiss still books<br />
those shows. Manager of the theatre is James<br />
Barnett. Anniversary week presented five<br />
acts of vaudeville and "Never Wave at a<br />
WAC."<br />
Beginning in March, Claughton's Roosevelt<br />
will present matinees only Saturdays and<br />
Sundays . . . "Bwana Devil" is making the<br />
rounds of Florida State's neighborhoods . . .<br />
Wometco opens a group of five three-dimension<br />
motion pictures at its Cameo.<br />
Harry Kilby, associated with Globe Artists<br />
here, has the job of finding two professional<br />

had lived in Miami for nine years and had<br />

She was on her way to Fresno to see her<br />
father, who was reported to be dying<br />
