score values, an obvious decrease tendency with increasing age, both at the<br />

vertebral column and at the hip bone, which is consistent with the decrease in the<br />

bone mineral density that comes with age (Fig. 1.A).<br />

On the other hand, the Z-score, which also takes into account the patient’s age,<br />

has a tendency of increasing with age, both in the case of the vertebral column, and in<br />

that of the hip bone (Fig. 4). This also explains the correlation quotient’s greater<br />

values, as compared with the previous situation. Thus, in what concerns the regression<br />

between the Z-score and age, we noticed that age explains 27.26% of the Z-score<br />
