In both cases, at the vertebral column and at the hip, there is a decrease tendency of the T-<br />

score with increasing age. This is related to the fact that the calculation of the T-score takes<br />

into account the bone mineral density of a healthy adult population.<br />

Taking into account the T-score values at the level of the two determination<br />

regions, the vertebral column and the hip, the following situations can occur in the case<br />

of the patients who have been diagnosed with osteoporosis: vertebral osteoporosis – hip<br />

osteoporosis, vertebral osteoporosis – hip osteopenia, vertebral osteoporosis – normal<br />
