Annex 11: Terms of references
a. Intercooperation Head Office
ICHO-01 Institutional supervision and steering
(Philippe Vaneberg, Head of Operations)
This position will be overall responsible for ensuring the institutional supervision of the
programme. It will also include the following tasks:
• Overall programme steering taking into account institutional experiences in regard to
consolidation and strengthen
• Supervision of the coherence of IC of programmes in Bangladesh funded by SDC
• Supervision of project cycle management at IC Head Office level
• Communication and negotiation with SDC in Switzerland
Qualification:
• Postgraduate in the field of genetic improvement of trees
• At least 15 years experience in the field of development and international cooperation
• Comprehensive knowledge of Bangladesh development issues
• Good knowledge of Bangladesh stakes in the field of rural development and local
governance
• Strong analytical capacities and strategic understanding
• Confirmed experiences with SDC vision, policies, strategies and procedures
• Strong experience in project cycle management
ICHO-02 Technical backstopping
(Lionel Giron, Programme Officer)
• Thematic backstopping and inputs to the project team (key staff)
• Capacity building of the project team in specific fields jointly identified, based on
institutional experience of IC
• Provide information on relevant market development initiatives managed by IC or other
development partners
• Promote possible exchanges, collaboration and collaboration with other programmes
• Regular monitoring and assessment of project progress in specific issues related to
market development and in regards to institutionalisation processes
