Steven Retzlaff (1963) was appointed President Global Sourcing &Cocoa and<br />
member of the Executive Committee of Barry Callebaut AG in January 2008.<br />
Steven Retzlaff started his career in 1987 at KPMG Peat Marwick, San Francisco,wherehebecame<br />
aCertified Public Accountant. In 1990, he transferred to the<br />
Zurich office of KPMG where heworked until 1993. He then joined JMP Newcor<br />
AG, Zug, asDirector of European Finance and Operations, where heworked<br />
for three years.<br />
Steven Retzlaff joined Barry Callebaut as CFO of Barry Callebaut Sourcing<br />
AG in 1996. From 1999 to 2001,heserved as CFO Swiss Operations (BC Sourcing<br />
AG and BC Switzerland AG). From 2001 to 2003, he was CFO of the business unit<br />
Cocoa, Sourcing &Risk Management, and from 2003 to 2004 he worked as the<br />
Cocoa Division Head. In 2004, he was appointed President Sourcing &Cocoa and<br />
member of the Senior Management Team in Zurich. From September 2006 until<br />
December 2007,hefocused on developing the Group’sglobal compound business.<br />
Steven Retzlaffholds aBachelor of Arts in Economics from Whitman College.<br />
He also studied at the Institute of European Studies in Madrid and at INSEAD in<br />
Fontainebleau.<br />

Hans P. Vriens (1965) was appointed to the position of Chief Innovation Officer<br />
(CIO) and member of the Management Team in December 2005. Since November<br />
2009, Hans Vriens has been amember of the Executive Committee.<br />
From 2001 to 2005, Hans Vriens was active as the owner of VF&CO.B.V.in<br />
Amsterdam, Netherlands, aholding company which invests in and develops new<br />
consumer brands for itself and for third-party customers.Activities include consulting<br />
for large multinational companies in functional foods,apartnership selling an<br />
energy drink in anew packaging concept, as well as the production and distribution<br />
of afunctional dairy product.<br />
Prior to this, Hans Vriens served as Executive Board Member responsible<br />
for Sales, Marketing and Interactive at EM-TV&Merchandising AG in Munich,<br />
Germany,and was active in various non-executive boardpositions in related media<br />
companies.<br />
From 1994 to 1999, he held various functions with Red Bull GmbH, among<br />
which Managing Director for Red Bull North America in Los Angeles,U.S.From<br />
1989 to 1994, Hans Vriens worked as Brand Manager for Procter&Gamble in<br />
Austria and in Germany.Hestarted his career in brand management and marketing<br />
with Mars/Effem in Spain and in the Netherlands.<br />
Hans Vriens holds aBBA in Marketing from the Nyenrode Business University<br />
in Breukelen, Netherlands,anMBA in Marketing/International Business from<br />
the University of Oregon, U.S.,and received Post-Graduate Education at Stanford<br />
University,U.S., and at the Wharton University of Pennsylvania, U.S.<br />
