Our Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainability activities are aligned with<br />
our growth objectives and anchored by our vision and values, which provide the<br />
foundation for our Code of Conduct.<br />
Code of Conduct<br />
The Code of Conduct is apractical guide for doing business in aresponsible way<br />
and applies to all Barry Callebaut employees.Itincludes how to manage potential<br />
conflicts of interest and other ethical dilemmas that mayarise in our business lives.<br />
We issued arevised and updated Code of Conduct in 2007.In2011, we made additional<br />
updates to reflect our business environment, such as the inclusion of guidelines<br />
on the use of social media. All Barry Callebaut employees receive acopy of<br />
the Code of Conduct in English or alocal language upon joining the company.<br />
By signing the code,employees acknowledge that they have read and understood<br />
the Code of Conduct and also acknowledge their commitment to their colleagues<br />
and our company.<br />
Any employee who has questions regarding the Code of Conduct is encouraged<br />
to contact his or her direct manager, local HR department or local legal<br />
department. If any comments or concerns cannot be addressed through these channels,<br />
employees have the option to contact the Corporate Secretary to the Board<br />
of Directors via adedicated e-mail address or by phone. Infiscal year 2010/11, a<br />
relatively small number of inquiries or comments were received and subsequently<br />
addressed, and no material issues wereraised.<br />
