Suppression of formation of UV-induced erythema (in vivo)<br />
Method: Lotion w<strong>it</strong>h 1% Rose Myrtle <strong>Extract</strong> <strong>BG</strong><br />
and placebo lotion were applied on upper<br />
arm of volunteers (n=5) twice daily for 2 weeks.<br />
After pretreatment, the treated area was<br />
separated into 6 s<strong>it</strong>es and irradiated w<strong>it</strong>h<br />
various doses of UVB. The erythema levels were<br />
evaluated 6 hours after UVB irradiation.<br />
Rose Myrtle <strong>Extract</strong> <strong>BG</strong> at 1% showed 23%<br />
suppression of erythema score.<br />
