In this standard the <str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g>ces arising during a combined transport <strong>on</strong>ly is stated. In additi<strong>on</strong> there<br />

are some examples <strong>on</strong> how to secure cargo in different cargo carriers. There is also an<br />

example showing how to calculate required strength in securing devices.<br />

For the calculati<strong>on</strong> with regard to load-securing, the following quasi-static <str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g>ces, expressed<br />

as multiples <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the weight (g) <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the load, are to be assumed:<br />

• in the l<strong>on</strong>gitudinal directi<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g>wards and backwards, 1.0 g,<br />

• in the transverse directi<strong>on</strong> to both sides, 0.5 g,<br />

• in the vertical directi<strong>on</strong> upwards and downwards, 0.3 g in additi<strong>on</strong> to the<br />

static weight.<br />

follows:<br />

Lengthways in the wag<strong>on</strong><br />

- Wag<strong>on</strong>s subject to shunting 4.0 g<br />

- Combined transport 2.0 g<br />

Sideways in the wag<strong>on</strong><br />

0.4 g in combinati<strong>on</strong> with 1± 0.3 g vertically<br />

2.2 General requirements <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> cargo securing <str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g> road and sea transports<br />

Forces, which could arise during transports <strong>on</strong> road and sea according to most nati<strong>on</strong>al<br />

regulati<strong>on</strong>s, internati<strong>on</strong>al standards and other literature, are as follows:<br />

- <str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g>wards 1.0 g, alternatively 0,8 g<br />

- sideways and backwards 0.5 g (0.7 g <str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g> tipping according to VDI 2700 and<br />
