I2.0 Deemed-to-Satisfy Provisions<br />

(a)<br />

Where a <strong>Building</strong> Solution is proposed to comply with the<br />

Deemed-to-Satisfy Provisions, Performance Requirement<br />

IP2.1 is satisfied by complying with I2.1 to I2.2.<br />

Where a <strong>Building</strong> Solution is proposed as an Alternative<br />

Solution to the Deemed-to-Satisfy Provisions of I2.1 to I2.2,<br />

the relevant Performance Requirements must be<br />

determined in accordance with A0.10.<br />

I2.1 Application of Part<br />

The Deemed-to-Satisfy Provisions of this Part do not apply to services serving only one<br />

sole-occupancy unit of a Class 2 building or serving a Class 4 part of a building.<br />

I2.2 Components of services<br />

Components of services must be maintained to ensure that they perform to a standard<br />

not less than they were originally required to achieve, including—<br />

(a)<br />

(b)<br />

(c)<br />

(d)<br />

(e)<br />

(f)<br />

(g)<br />

(h)<br />

adjustable or motorised shading devices; and<br />

time switches and motion detectors; and<br />

room temperature thermostats; and<br />

plant thermostats such as on boilers or refrigeration units; and<br />

motorised air dampers and control valves; and<br />

reflectors, lenses and diffusers of light fittings; and<br />

heat transfer equipment; and<br />

plant that receives a concession under JV3(b) for the use of energy obtained<br />

from—<br />

(i)<br />

(ii)<br />

PUBLIC COMMENT DRAFT<br />

an on-site renewable energy source; or<br />

another process as reclaimed energy.<br />
