Tiny Tim
(Traditional, adapted by Debbie Brightwell Brown. The poem could also be presented as
a flannel board or acted out with creative drama.)
I have a little monkey.
His name is Tiny Tim.
I put him in the bathtub,
To see if he could swim.
He drank up all the water.
He ate up all the soap.
Then he had a bubble,
Coming from his throat.
In came the doctor.
In came the nurse.
In came the lady,
With the alligator purse.
“Measles!” said the doctor.
“Mumps!” said the nurse.
“Nonsense!” said the lady,
With the alligator purse.
“A shot!” said the doctor.
“A pill!” said the nurse.
“Bananas!” said the lady,
With the alligator purse.
Now my monkey is much better!
