Frog Finger Puppets<br />

Materials<br />

Self-adhesive wiggly eyes<br />

Crayons or markers<br />

White or green cardstock<br />

Directions<br />

In advance, trace the frog finger puppet pattern provided at the end of this chapter onto<br />

sturdy green or white cardstock. Precut the holes into which children will insert their<br />

fingers to make frog legs. Let the children color the frog <strong>and</strong> attach the wiggly eyes.<br />

Games <strong>and</strong> Activities<br />

We Are All Frogs <strong>and</strong> Crocodiles<br />

Play some lively music <strong>and</strong> let the children pretend to be frogs by hopping from one end<br />

of the room to the other. Then let the children pretend that they are crocodiles by “duckwalking”<br />

<strong>and</strong> snapping their arms as if they were the crocodile’s mouth.<br />
